Resident Advisory Board

Fayetteville Housing Authority (FHA) is seeking to create a Resident Advisory Board (RAB). The role of the RAB is to work with FHA in providing comments and recommendations related to the development of the PHA Annual Plan/5-Year Plan. 

The RAB and FHA will work in a collaborative relationship to review the PHA plans to include goals and objectives, capital funding budgets, and other initiatives. 

RAB membership is comprised of individuals who reflect and represent the residents assisted by the Housing Authority through the Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, and Project Based Rental Assistance Programs.

Membership is aimed to include representative diversity of age, disability, family composition, race, ethnicity, and gender. The term of service will be three-years with the ability to reapply. 

The RAB will be comprised of 7 members:

· Hillcrest Towers, 1 member (to be chosen by Hillcrest Towers Resident Council)

· Lewis Plaza, 1 member

· Willow Heights, 1 member

· Voucher Programs, 3 members

· Morgan Manor, 1 member 

The RAB will meet at least quarterly to focus on plans or initiatives proposed by the agency, to review topics suggested by members, or to hear from guest speakers. Meetings will be held virtually via Zoom.

The Housing Authority would like to extend an invitation to those individuals over the age of 18 who are currently being assisted by FHA to become a member of the RAB. Applications are available below or at the FHA office during normal business hours. Applications can be completed and sent to ATTN: Derrek Sherburne by email to admin@fayettevilleha.org, by mail, or hand-delivered to the FHA office until December 28, 2023.
